Boulder Delta Gamma Newsletter 2010-2011
We hope you had a wonderful summer.
This fall we’re starting off with volunteering with recruitment for the Phi Chapter at University of Colorado. We have some wonderful social events planned in the fall and winter including a road trip to Mt. Rushmore, lake party, drinks and appetizers, our annual holiday tea, a spa night, dinner and drinks, manicures and pedicures, and salad and baked potato bar night. Founders Day will be in the spring as well as our dinner for the seniors of the Phi Chapter to welcome them into the alum group. We end the spring with our annual fundraiser patio sale of items from the Phi house.

September

Fall Recruitment 9/11/10 9am – 6:30pm, 9/12/10 9am – 6pm, 9/13/10 5pm-11:10pm, 9/14/10 5:10pm – 10:15pm
Location: Phi Chapter House | 1128 Pennsylvania Avenue, Boulder, CO 80302
This is your first chance of the year to really help the Boulder Phi Chapter at University of Colorado. You all remember recruitment I’m sure and how much help it was to have alums counting votes! We’ll need at least five volunteers for each of the days so make sure you mark your calendars and help out with this very important event.

Mt. Rushmore Road Trip! 9/24/10
Join a group of DGs on the first of many Road Trips! This time we’re going to Mt. Rushmore the weekend of September 24 – 26. Anyone interested please contact Anne Gallagher at 720- 519-1137 or
galljams@comcast.net by September 15th.

Other possible events
We’re planning a few events with the Phi chapter at CU a possible DG speaker that climbed Mt. Evert and a speaker on dinner etiquette – stay tuned for details.

Lake Party 10/3/10 time @ 11am
Location: Off Hwy 36, 4 miles north of Broadway, in Lake Valley Estates
Bring your own food for the grill, and one side dish to share. BYOB, no glass bottles please. Non-alcoholic beverages and paper products will be provided.

November

Appetizers and Drinks 11/4/10 @ 6:30pm
Location: Linda’s House |4892 Kellogg Circle, Boulder, CO 80303
Join us for appetizers and drinks with your DG sisters. Please bring an appetizer to share. We look forward to seeing you there!

December

Holiday Tea 12/4/10 time 12:45pm
Location: Boulderado | 2115 13th Street, Boulder, CO 80302
Join us for our annual holiday tea! This event is a favorite among our group and it’s a wonderful time to catch up with DG sisters.

White Elephant Party 12/15/10 @ 6:30pm

Join us for our annual White Elephant Party and bring your best tacky white elephant gift!

The owner of The Sink is a Delta Gamma come join us for dinner and drinks at this fun venue close to the University of Colorado campus.

Manicures and Pedicures 2/17/11 @6:30pm

We’re heading to the spa for manicures and pedicures make sure not to miss this fun event of socializing and relaxing with your DG sisters.

Founders Day
Founders Day will be sometime in March or April we’ll make sure to get
you more details as the event draws near.

Senior Dinner 4/14/11 @ 6:30pm
Location - Boulder Country Club | 7350 Clubhouse Road, Boulder, CO 80301
The Senior Dinner is a special event where the alums welcome into their group the seniors of the Phi chapter of Delta Gamma. We had a wonderful turnout last year at the Boulder Country Club of both alums and women from the Phi chapter. We hope you’ll all join us this year!

We’ll need help with preparing for our annual patio sale as well as your help the day of the patio sale. This event is a fundraiser for our group and is a great way for your to help we look forward to seeing you at this event.

What an exciting spring!
Congratulations to Phi Chapter, for their many successes - eight new sisters, an exciting Anchor Slam, winning Greek Week, and a lovely Founders' Day.
Senior Dinner was a lot of fun this year - thank you to the collegians and alumnae that worked to organize it.
We have a few more events coming up - the Patio Sale prep day is May 7th, starting at 8 am.
The official Patio Sale will be May 15th, from 7am to 2 pm.

Details: Founder’s Day this year will be a great event with the Boulder Phi chapter. We will hear about all of the wonderful things that Delta Gamma is doing on a local and national level. We hope to see you at this very important DG event!

Senior Dinner

Details: This is an annual event where we welcome the Phi Chapter seniors into the alumni group. Candy is hosting it at her home and we will have food and drinks.
